Why do I need this medicine?
Erythromycin+Zinc acetate is used to treat acne also known as pimples.
How do I use this medicine?
Apply exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not use more or less than instructed by your doctor.

Follow these steps in using this medicine:

1. Wash your hands.
2. Wash the affected area and let it dry before applying the medicine.
3. Rub it gently on the skin.
4. Wash your hands after each application.
5. Allow the applied medicine to dry before using any other product or make up.

Avoid contact of this medicine with your eyes, nose or mouth.

Erythromycin+Zinc acetate must be used regularly for it to be effective. Continue using this medicine even when you feel better. Do not stop using it unless instructed by the doctor.
What should I do if I have forgotten to use this medicine?
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.

DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.

If you often forget to use your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
When should I not use this medicine?
Do not use this medicine if you ever had an allergic reaction (rashes, breathlessness, swollen eyes) to zinc acetate or erythromycin or any other similar medicines such as clarithromycin, azithromycin and lincomycin.
What should I take note of while using this medicine?
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Avoid contact of Erythromycin+Zinc acetate with your eyes, nose or mouth. If this occurs, rinse the affected area immediately with water. Alert your doctor if you start to have any problems with your eyes.

Avoid using skin cleansers, medicated soaps or cosmetics that contain alcohol as this may cause irritation.
What side effects could I experience?
Erythromycin+Zinc acetate may cause any of the following side effects: skin irritation such as burning or itching sensation, redness, dryness and peeling of the skin.

If you develop rashes, breathlessness, swollen mouth or eyes, stop using the medicine and inform your doctor quickly. These could be signs of an allergic reaction.

Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe or if you experience other side effects.
Can I use this with other medicines?
Let your doctor know if you are using any creams, ointments or other medicines on the affected area.

Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
How should I store this medicine?
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.

Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
